This week?Creed?hits (pun intended) cinemas in America, and even though audiences in the UK have to wait until the middle of January, we’re still excited about it! Because of this, we’ve put together a list of what we believe are the best boxing films ever made.

Rocky
Probably the best boxing film of all time,?Rocky?is considered by many to be not just one of the best boxing films of all time, but one of the best films in general. It also has anywhere between two and four good sequels, depending on who you ask.

Raging Bull
The only film to potentially rival?Rocky, Raging Bull?is the other big boxing classic. The two films have such a rivalry that Stallone and De Niro reunited for?The Grudge Match (a film that won’t be appearing on this list), where they finally got to duke it out.

The Fighter
More about the drama than the boxing, this is still an excellent film, as shown by the two Oscars it won, and the further five it was nominated for. This film took a look at how fighting can affect the people who love you, and how it affects people long-term.

Million Dollar Baby
It might have a divisive and controversial ending, but this film still thoroughly deserves its place on this list, as shown by four Oscars it won (take that? The Fighter),?including best picture.

Ali
There’s no doubt that Will Smith’s performance is better than the rest of the film, but it’s still good enough to earn?Ali?a spot on this list. On top of that, this is the story of the greatest boxer of all time, so it deserves to be up here.
