Not sure why Mysterio was passed over. Countering Spider-Man’s obvious power with illusion and stealth could be interesting. He would be a good match – even catspaw- for Kingpin. If it is Vulture, Mysterio,or Kraven,it would be fun if the film makers strive for Ditko shabbiness and eccentricity instead of usual techno madness that has dominated villains to date
Mysterio would certainly bring a different spin on things. Not magic, more trickery. We were mainly concerned on the dilemma that this would be the first villain for the new Spider-man. We felt that he couldn’t be too distracting from Spider-man and almost disposable in a way.
