Ser Barristan Selmy’s death
Whoa! Spoiler! But yeah, Barristan is dead! Sadly. His?death has taken a clear effect on Daenerys as?she had high respect for the man.
Barristan was the man who consistently preached peaceful actions. Now he is gone, Daenerys has no anchor to her actions. I expect a lot more of her decisions to be aggressive.
Ramsay Bolton & Myranda
Probably a match made in hell. In this scene we see?Myranda reveal?her jealousy of Sansa Stark, which can only mean bad news for Sansa.
In their deranged relationship this simply won’t be forgotten.?Myranda will be one to watch in?upcoming episodes.
Theon Greyjoy?
Sansa finally gets to meet Theon, now Reek, and confronts him. Sansa doesn’t fully understand the situation Theon is in, but her hatred for him is still there.
I think once Sansa learns of the torment Theon has gone through her opinion of him will defer and she may be able to forgive him.
Feeding the Dragons
In response to the death of Barristan Selmy Daenerys gets all the heads of the major families and?places them in the line of?fire of her dragons.
Although Daenerys has lost full control of her Dragons, she can still attempt to gain back their respect. She has also not shown the rest of the world that she has lost control of them. Hopefully by the end of this season she can gain back fully their respect and start?Dragon’ing it up!
Kill the boy!
Maester?Aemon discusses the fact that his?only?relative alive is Daenerys which, if last weeks Jon Snow parentage theory is correct, may not be true. He has an urge to help Daenerys. He also wants to help Jon Snow become the man he is to become.
Does Maester Aemon know of Jon Snow’s parents? Who does know (if anyone)?
The unpopular choice
Jon Snow, the Wildling lover, decides to help the Wildlings! Not much of a shock. With an agreement with Stannis Baratheon, Jon Snow will use his boats to get the Wildlings from beyond the wall and bring them to the North to settle there.
Yes, this is the unpopular decisions for the crows. Yes, the Wildlings have killed many crows over the years but this needs to be done. Can Jon Snow lead a Wildling army like Mance Rayder once did?
The North still remembers
Short scene, but helpful to Sansa Starks cause. Brienne of Tarth passes on a message to Sansa that she still has allies in the North and that she isn’t alone.
The ultimate showdown would be Ramsay Bolton against Brienne of Tarth. However I fear Ramsay would probably end up killing Pod and making us all hate him even more.
Sorry…
Theon, you horrible person! Kind of… He didn’t actually kill the Stark boys. Will he later reveal this? He hasn’t told Sansa up until this point.
He will have to tell Sansa and actually beg for her forgiveness, not in the forced way from this scene. Sansa then knowing he didn’t kill them may lead to Theon’s redemption.
You are my son!
This scene between Roose Bolton and Ramsay Bolton is almost a mirror image of the scene between Stannis Baratheon and his daughter, just mirrored through one of this weird circus mirrors. Roose will also be having another child, most likely a boy, who may be heir instead of Ramsay.
The biggest takeaway from this scene is how Roose is fully aware of Stannis’ intentions to take Winterfell and he now has Ramsay on his side. Is Stannis prepared for the demented form of tactics Ramsay and Roose will bring to the fold?
The son of Randyll Tarly
Great scene! The fact Samwell’s father was the only person to beat Robert Baratheon is glorious!
Stannis has now been equipped with the information to stop the army of the dead and has clearly taken this threat serious, unlike everyone else in the realm.
Bye Wall! Hello Winterfell!
The march begins. How will Stannis army do? They have the numbers. But will the succeed? Will Jon Snow return in time to help Stannis with Jon’s new Wildling army?
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
What a beautiful scene. I think we are all glad that Greyworm survived.
Wait?a second… are we engaged?
Yes, I think they are. What a turn of events. Daenarys has pretty much forced?Hizdahr zo Loraq (the guy in picture) to marry her. It’s a strong political move from Daenarys which will hopefully simmer down this slight rebellion.
Oh yeah, also we got the fighting cages back! Although we all knew this was coming from the trailers.
Drogon
Oh so that’s where he has been! You mother is worried sick about you Drogon!
The face on Tyrion is priceless. There would have been no other way that Tyrion would have believed that Dragons existed without seeing them for himself.
Greyscale
The stone men are damn scary. One touch and you’re infected. There is much we don’t know about Greyscale, the only other time we’ve seen Greyscale was with Stannis’ daughter?Shireen Baratheon.
We know it is curable, but it leaves a permanent scar. What mental effects does Greyscale have however? The stone men we see in this episode looked crazy, they were attempting to spread their disease. Will Jorah Mormont attempt the same thing?
