This is Third Act?s weekly spoiler discussion post where we?discuss the events this?week?s Game of Thrones episode.

Spoilers Warning & Guidelines

Obviously, this will have spoilers from this week episode. However, we do have a few guidelines we?d like people to consider before posting:

  1. No spoilers from episodes that haven?t aired yet.
  2. No spoilers from the books, unless as a commentary about how the episode deferred from the book.

The goal of this weekly segment is a place for discussion on each episode and speculate on future episodes.

John Snow, off we go!

John leaves Castle Black to get support from the Wildlings to take back the north and avoid the winter.

This is episode 7, and in past seasons the ninth episode has usually had something big happen. Season 1, Ned Stark’s death (execution). Season 2, Battle of the Blackwater (battle). Season 3, Red Wedding (execution). Season 4, Watcher on The Wall (battle). Season 5? If they continue with the theme, we’re owed an execution. But everything leading up in this season suggests a battle. Time will tell.

Reek

When will he?have broken free from Ramsey’s control?! If he can’t save himself at least help someone else!

Brienne of Tarth

She’s waiting! Sansa Stark needs to be saved and Brienne is the person to do it. Perhaps Sansa will get another chance to get a candle lit in that area.

Aemon Targaryen

One of the few people in Westros to turn down becoming King. Some great final words and he’ll be missed. Especially by Sam.

Stannis the Mannis

I find it so odd how much he loves his daughter. In this world everyone seems to hate their children in one way or another.

Will it be Stannis’ choice to take his daughter’s blood in the end? Perhaps the Mother will do it instead.

YES SAM!

Great scene here. “Oh my” indeed.

Daenerys and?Daario

Can?Daario Naharis be trusted? He is one of the few that can influence Daenerys decisions. Is he guiding her for his own personal means?

The Lions

This scene made it apparent how few the Lannister have become. It’s pretty much the two of them and they’re against each other.

Bronn

Quite a cheeky scene we had here. Now we’ve learnt that the Sand Snakes use poison on their weapons, this may become more important later on.

Littlefinger plotting again!

Shock! Littlefinger has a bigger plan surrounding all of this. The next episodes are going to be crucial and we’ll see if Littlefinger’s plan comes to fruition.

A Gift

We’ve waited so long for this moment and it is finally here! Tyrion and Daenerys working together…? Yes please, hopefully.

Who has the power?

The High Sparrow has now positioned himself as one of the most powerful people in Westeros, and although he isn’t corrupt he can still stir up a mess. To be honest, if he arrests every person that has sinned there won’t be anyone left in Kings Landing.

Nobody puts Cersei in the corner!

Cersei is going to go mad once she is released. If she is released. A bigger shock would be seeing her face her demise, however I somewhat doubt that.

That’s it for this week. What do you think will be Cersei’s response to being imprisoned??
