And so it ends. This is Third Act?s weekly spoiler discussion post where we?discuss the events this?week?s Game of Thrones episode.
Spoilers Warning & Guidelines
Obviously, this will have spoilers from this week episode. However, we do have a few guidelines we?d like people to consider before posting:
- No spoilers from episodes that haven?t aired yet.
- No spoilers from the books, unless as a commentary about how the episode deferred from the book.
The goal of this weekly segment is a place for discussion on each episode and speculate on future episodes.

Why did you leave Sam?!
Pretty much everything that went wrong is down to him!
I’m joking, sort of.

Burn your daughter, walk into a slaughter…
Oh Stannis. The true heroes are the men that followed Stannis till the end.

The Oathkeeper
NOW. Is Stannis dead? The scene with Brienne didn’t show us explicitly that he was dead. Game of Thrones isn’t shy on showing people’s heads flying, so why stop now?
Stannis’ supposed last words were “Do your duty.” Now, Brienne wasn’t doing her duty. She had made an oath to Catelyn Stark?to protect her daughters, Sansa and Arya Stark. Perhaps this reminder changes Brienne’s mind and she hits the tree above Stannis instead. WISHFUL THINKING I KNOW.

WinterFALL
Long drop, good thing there is plenty of snow!
Where will they head next? To Castle Black to meet up with Jon Snow? To the Iron Islands to seek refuge with Theon’s family?

Ser Meryn Trant
Another off the list. Awesome gruesome scene however. Arya hasn’t lost her ruthlessness with all that opening doors she’s been doing all season.

Justice is blind
So we have Bran Stark who can’t walk and now Arya Stark who is blind. What does this mean for Rickon? Will be made deaf or something?
Melisandre actually predicted this way back in Season 3.

10 Second Father
Did Bronn keep any of that antidote from before handy? Does?Trystane Martell have any on his person?
The Sand Snakes have separated themselves with this act and will become a target for execution next season. Perhaps Trystane Martell marries Cersei to unite their ties and still work in Doran’s favour. Probably not.

#TeamDaenerys
This is what excites me most for season 6. Tyrion and co bringing order to Meereen.
We get another excellent pairing with Dario and Jorah.

Back to season 1…
Hello Dothraki! Long time, no see!
Best outcome from this is if Daenerys’ marries one of the Dothraki leaders and has them for her army. Unsullied, Dothraki, Second Sons and 3 Dragons she will be unmatched.

Shame!
Almost unbearable to watch, great CGI with the body double.
Little tidbit, the actress who plays Cersei Lannister, Lena Headey, was actually pregnant so they used a body double.

Zombie Mountain
Arya may have a kill list, but Cersei’s is longer. Just as they’ve made us feel uncomfortable seeing her demise, they will make us feel bad for enjoying her rise back.

Convenient arrival?
The biggest theory at the moment is that Lady Melisandre will bring back Jon Snow to us all!
I doubt this. This is Game of Thrones. Season 1, Ned Stark was the hopefully leader of the revolution. Season 3, Robb Stark was set to bring justice. Now Season 5, the only person capable of stopping the impeding doom, Jon Snow, is also axed.

Why are we shocked?
This is what I ask myself. I had so many theories of Jon Snow, such as his parentage, and what Jon would be able to achieve. But the show keeps doing this. We need to learn!
My biggest idea at the moment is that The Wall, the one we see nearly every episode, will be crushed. It will shatter into a million pieces and the White Walkers will continue their march. Imagine the stakes then.
Side note:?As promised, we will be having an end-of-season discussion video. Expect it this time next week at the latest!
