*Game of Thrones theme song*.?This is Third Act?s weekly spoiler discussion post where we?discuss the events this?week?s Game of Thrones episode.

Spoilers Warning & Guidelines

Obviously, this will have spoilers from this week episode. However, we do have a few guidelines we?d like people to consider before posting:

  1. No spoilers from episodes that haven?t aired yet.
  2. No spoilers from the books, unless as a commentary about how the episode deferred from the book.

The goal of this weekly segment is a place for discussion on each episode and speculate on future episodes.

TONS happened in this episode, so wasting no further time, let’s begin.

Tommen Baratheon & Margaery Tyrell

Margaery has won! Kind of… By speaking a totally different language of subtle and not-so-subtle passive aggressiveness and manipulation?Margaery has managed to convince King Tommen that his mother, Cersei, should leave kings landing.

Obviously Cersei disagrees and is probably scheming something in retaliation. In my eyes, Margaery is getting too arrogant and dealing with someone she has hugely underestimated. The Lannister’s rule seems to be slipping by each episode.

Reek

Key piece of information coming out of this scene. The Boltons are against the ropes as they don’t have the manpower to keep hold of the north if a revolt were to occur. The offer of Warden of the North was offered by Tywin Lannister, Tywin is now dead. Will Reek pass this information on I wonder?

The Boltons have to play it safe from now on, but does Ramsey Bolton understand that concept? His tortuous method works, why would he change?

Sansa Stark & Littlefinger

OH HOT-DAMN. Here comes the solution to the Boltons troubles. Sansa family name still carries a lot of weight. The Bolton’s plan is that by marrying a Stark the north will grow to trust their rule again.

However, what they don’t get is that the North remembers. They’re an honourable bunch and will see through this fa?ade. Hopefully they’re all smart enough to see Sansa Stark’s reasoning behind the marriage proposal.

Pod & Brienne

POD. BECOMING A KNIGHT. YES.

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h45m39s252

Stannis Baratheon & Jon Snow

Stannis is on the move shortly and it doesn’t seem that he can get Jon Snows support in his war effort to take back the north.

What could convince Jon Snow to go north? Something personal like Sansa Stark being married to Ramsey? Or perhaps the responsibility to protect the realm?

Ayra Stark

Arya’s adventure in the Black and White House is almost unbearably slow. She’s been forced to give up everything associated with Ayra Stark to become no-one.

Whilst getting rid of her belongings she can’t bring herself to getting rid of her sword ‘Needle’ which she’s had since the start. I don’t really see how she can hide a sword from a man who can change faces.

Another part of what makes Ayra Stark Ayra is her death list she has chanted for a while now. Will she have to put that aside as well in her pursuit to being no-one?

Ramsey Bolton’s Mistresses

This only spells disaster?and it looks directed at Sansa Stark. If only Sansa had allies in Winterfell!

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h47m06s115

The North Remembers

Oh right, she does! Looks like Sansa Stark’s family name has more weight in it then she previously believed. Let’s just hope Sansa can get the courage to lead the charge in a vengeful attack on the Boltons.

Jon Snow

Almost an identical scene to the one we have in season 1 with Ned Stark when he has to also behead a man for deserting.

We’re seeing the beginnings of a true leader here, now we just need him to leave The Wall and take back The North!

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h50m18s231

High Sparrow

We get to meet the ‘High Sparrow’ and get a better understanding of this barefoot religion extremist group. By the looks of it, Cersei wants to keep them happy which may play out later. Cersei is correct, religion and royalty most work in tandem to stay in power. She also better keep the High Sparrow happy as he probably knows that she got Robert Baratheon killed.

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h50m23s34

The Franken-Mountain

Did you also jump during this scene? What is he making underneath there that Cersei is totally fine with? What does the letter say? So many questions!

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h51m05s195

Littlefinger

Roose Bolton knows Littlefinger is scheming, but exactly what is the gamble here? Littlefinger clearly hates the Boltons so what does he hope to do? With a wedding on the way will we get a mirrored justice to the Red Wedding?

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h51m53s164

Saviour & The Red Priest

Yes, that’s the woman from Wolverine Origins and Arrow. But what we see for the first time is Daenerys Targaryn’s?reputation spreading further out. The people of?Volantis want Daenerys to liberate them.

vlcsnap-2015-04-28-21h52m34s57

Ser Jorah Mormont & Tyrion Lannister

Captain Friendzone Ser Jorah Mormont is clearly madly in love with Daenerys and by the looks of it he’ll be taking Tyrion to her as a peace-offering perhaps to get back in her inner circle. Although he did say that he’ll take Tyrion to the ‘Queen’ we all know the only queen in his life is Daenerys.

That’s it for this week. What do you think Littlefinger is scheming?
