Hugh Jackman is out. Deal with it.
Recently on Instagram Hugh Jackman posted a?highly suggestive picture pretty much CONFIRMING he’s out of the X-Men, or not we don’t actually know.

We’ve already ripped off the band-aid and we want to know who should we get to replace? Here at Third Act we’ve taken on the full responsibility of finding a replacement, with your help of course.
For some reason, Wolverine’s height is still a big deal even though Hugh Jackman smashed that concept and there isn’t any?actors under 5ft 5in that look like wolverine other than Bob Hoskins.
Hugh Jackman clocks in at 6ft 2in.
The Wolverine’s height in the comics is 5ft 3in.
So we’ve included each actors height to allow fairer judgement in what we want for a new Wolverine. Without further ado, here is a list of possible candidates we think would make a great fit to don the metal claws:

Andrew Lincoln (41) 5ft 10in
Known from: The Walking Dead
He has the rare ability of giving the impression of a man who has seen so much. A leader that people are somewhat scared of but ultimately trust.
Jon Bernthal (38)?5ft 10in
Known from: The Walking Dead, Fury
I almost forget how good Jon Bernthal is until I see a clip of him rubbing the back of his head in The Walking Dead and remember just how great he is. He would be a great addition and fit in perfect with the new cast they’re moving forward with.

Karl Urban (42) 6ft 1in
Known from: Dredd, Star Trek, Almost Human
Just give ‘Bones’ from Star Trek claws and make him more brave and you’re done.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (48) 6ft 1in
Known from: Watchmen
Also featuring on our list to play Cable, he could also take on the role of the Wolverine.

Manu Bennett (45) 5ft 10in
Known from: Arrow, Spartacus, The Hobbit
Fans of the Arrow series will see where I am coming from. He plays Slade Wilson effectively and is convincing in action scenes.

Joel Edgerton (40) 5ft 10in
Known from: Zero Dark Thirty, Warrior
Joel can play?the loner, the one to bare the responsibility. He can lead and do well in action as shown in Zero Dark Thirty.

Tom Hardy (37) 5ft 9in
Known from: The Dark Knight Rises, Warrior
Relatively short, got the acting chops, got the intimidation and can play the role of the man of few words. It would be great to see him go toe-to-toe with Michael Fassbender’s Magento.

Gerard Butler (45) 6ft 1in
Known from: 300, Olympus Has Fallen
We may have to change Wolverine’s nationality to Scottish as Gerard cannot do a convincing Canadian accent, but he has the gruff and intimation.

Liam Hemsworth (25) 6ft 3in
Known from: The Hunger Games
Before you call me an idiot, think about it. He’ll fit it with the already young cast for the new X-Men, he’ll be able to do the role for a long time. Okay, maybe not the most popular idea but I reckon he’d surprise us all.

Viggo Mortensen (56) 5ft 10in
Known from:?The?Lord of the Rings
We’ve seen him play well in a franchise in the past, could he replicate that? He definitely has the lone-wolf vibe going.

Tyler Hoechlin (27) 5ft 11in
Known from: Teen Wolf
We’ve already suggested his co-star Dylan O’Brien to play the new Spider-man. Could we get a double-whammy in marvel casting? At 27 he is quite young, but will be able to grow into his role. Hugh Jackman was in his earlier 30’s at the time of X-Men.
If you liked any of these choices, feel free to check out some of our other casting articles, such as this one with suggestions on who should play Cable, or this one where we cast Marvel’s Inhumans.
Who do you think should play a new Wolverine? Or do you want Hugh Jackman to stay on forever?

Meh, I can see, and rather prefer for Tyler Hoechlin to play Namor.
That’s not a bad idea at all, perhaps that could be another article, as soon as the Namor film is announced!
Jon Bernthal by far the best actor for this roll
Manu Benett would be the Perfect Wolverine. Aggression, Voice, Charisma. He got everything Wolverine needs.
Hell yeah! I second this!
